ULMA Embedded Solutions participates in the event organized by Venco and Kontron in Bilbo

ULMA Embedded Solutions will take part in "Kontron Day" event organized by Venco and Kontron, giving a talk on embedded operating systems for applications of industrial automation, railway, medical devices... on 17^th of April in Bilbao.

Qualified Kontron staff will present the wide range of products for applications, ranging from basic PC modules, to the most comprehensive solutions for the most demanding environments.

The event will have practical demonstration sessions. No advanced technical knowledge is required.

ULMA Embedded Solutions, a Freescale Alliance Member since 2010, will be showcasing in Freescale booth at Embedded World 2012 exhibition, which will take place in Nuremberg (Germany) from February 28th to March 1st

Embedded World is a well-known trade event attended by top professionals and a wide representation of main players of the embedded electronic sector. Without any doubt, Embedded World is an essential appointment.

Every year, Freescale gives some of their partners the opportunity to showcase in their booth products designed with their technology and we are pleased to inform you that this year we have been selected to be there.

In collaboration with CEGASA, we will present a control platform for their modular Hydrogen Fuel Cell capable of delivering up to 5 KW. A distributed system based on Kinetis ARM Cortex M4 microcontroller provides control and management features through CANopen and Modbus.

ULMA Group 50th Anniversary

2011 is a very special year for our parent Group as ULMA reaches 50 years since its founding in 1961.

In order to celebrate the anniversary, during this year we are holding several events. One of the most highlighted has been the concert given by San Sebastian’s choir and Bilbao’s municipal band last September at Oñati’s main square.

For the near future, we are also planning more activities such as: A mass to remember all ULMA Group workers who passed away and the book presentation “50 years together” by the end of the year.

ULMA Embedded Solutions participates in ARTEMIS pSafeCer

ARTEMIS pSafeCer project kick-off meeting took place last April 19th in Brussels with attendees from 38 organizations. Four of these organizations are spanish, as well as Traintic, Mondragón Unibertsitatea, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and ULMA Embedded Solutions. The country coordinator is Traintic.

Safety certification of software-intensive systems with reusable components (SafeCer), is an international ARTEMIS research project coordinated by Volvo with the objectives of increasing efficiency and reducing time to market by composable safety certification of safety-relevant systems

ULMA Embedded Solutions leads WP 5.4 that deals with demostration using certification guidelines for other domains.

Additional WP 5.4 participants are AIT, TTTECH and INTECS.

Microsoft Windows Embedded for HMIs and Industrial Automation

ULMA Embedded Solutions will hold on June 28th in Oñati a Microsoft Windows Embedded for HMIs and IA event presenting its main product innovations.

This event will consist of two parts. First, an introduction where we´ll explain the innovations that MWES 7, MWEC 7 and Silverlight offers and then we´ll have a hands-on session with a real application. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to ask any doubts and questions about the applications to our experts during the event.

Arrow Iberia Electronics will also join us to provide practical information about licensing and tools.

Embedded World 2011 met ULMA Embedded Solutions expectations

ULMA Embedded Solutions successfully celebrated ULMA Group´s 50th Anniversary presenting its products and services in Embedded World Exhibition & Conference 2011, the most well known international embedded systems trade show, with more than 800 international exhibitors and over 19,022 visitors.

During the theree intense days of the trade show, ULMA representatives had the opportunity to showcase their innovations to partners, suppliers and customers and make uMAN-500´s debut.

Visitors from several companies and places (USA, Russia, Germany, Poland...)expressed their interest in ULMA Embedded Solutions, but they were especially intrigued by uMAN-500, ULMA´s brand new product, which was received well and generated a lot of buzz. uMAN-500 features Ethernet, Wi-Fi and USB together with two independent and fully isolated CAN interfaces, enabling M2M communication in almost every industrial application. Remote management is possible even in the most remote locations thanks to the optional Citerion´s TC63i GSM/GPRS module.

ULMA wishes to thank all visitors that showed up at their stand and truly hopes that they all meet again next year in Embedded World 2012 for new fruitful collaboration opportunities.
